Climate change has numerous effects on the global environment, human health, and the economy. These include increased frequency and severity of natural disasters, loss of biodiversity, deforestation and land degradation, disruption of food chains and ecosystems, increased risks of water-borne diseases, and others. For four weeks, Farm Radio International will offer broadcasters and stakeholders an online discussion on Nature-based Solutions, from October 28 to November 22.
The online discussion will cover topics such as:
- Understanding what Nature-based Solutions are and how they can be used to adapt to climate change issues
- Understanding biodiversity and its importance
- Examples of Nature-based Solutions (e.g. agroforestry, soil fertility, water conservation) and how these can benefit the community
We will address these topics in a facilitated online discussion, which will be conducted in English and French. Our experts will share insights, experiences, and solutions, and we hope you will share experiences from your own community.
